Pretty much sums it up...

Bill what are your thoughts on Cates so far as a center? Do you see them keeping him there or will this be a short experiment? |

And if they keep Cates at center, who gets moved to wing or demoted if and when Coots comes back? |

I was thinking about this also. I got to think your top 3 centers will be Couts, Hayes and N. Cates based on recent comments from Torts about Cates at center. And then at some point Patrick Brown comes back and slots into the 4C role. Therefore, it has to be Frost since it really does not make sense to play Frost on the 4th line at this point in his career. It may be that Frost is a player that is moved once/if Couts and Brown come back and stay in the lineup. |

So you believe that the Flyers are in a position to move Frost as a team lacking in skilled talent?

Flyers Buzz immediately labeled TK the #1 Torts doghouse candidate. Nice job as always folks |

Still a shame Wright didn't fall to 5, already a healthy scratch in Seattle. I wonder if he'll even last the 9 game tryout. Would probably be playing big minutes for this team with Couturier out. |

Shane Wright, 6 min TOI in game 1. Healthy scratch in games 2 & 3. Hak hasn’t changed. |

IMO, Hayes is a candidate to shift to wing. I think they take the long view with both Frost and N.Cates at center. I don’t think they are short experiments. It is in the best interests of the team moving forward. Better to have developed too many centers than too few.

Brown will get waived imo as no spot for him. Unless Tanner falls off.
They will not demote Frost to 4th line center imo. |

I agree with Brown, he is an AHLer.
I think Cates gets moved to 4th or wing, they have invested too much into Frost to 4th line.

If the phantoms have another poor start Lappy most definitely needs to go. Wasn’t thrilled with him being hires to coach them from the start.

That franchise was taking the long view even before they drafted anyone.... Hak is a symptom of that approach, not the cause... |

If/when Coots and Atkinson are back, I'd like to see a line of Cates, Coots and Cam.

I love these fantasy scenarios about what to do when every player on the team not named Ryan Ellis is healthy at the same time. Comedy gold. |

Frost isn't going anywhere. Cates will be moved back to wing where he belongs.

Maybe. There's no guarantee Torts would trust a 18 year old rookie at center.
